Innovative Project Support & Sponsorship

Part production studio and part think-tank, Nonchalance employs a variety of methods to trigger mutations in the civic realm. One of these methods is funding.

Through private foundations we have established access to grant awards in excess of 25 thousand dollars annually, which are specifically earmarked toward projects and organizations that embody the Nonchalant ideal.

Awardees are chosen from a variety of areas including arts, design, science, education, and industry. Projects qualifying for the Fusion Fund are those that put a distinguished twist on established work in their field, that truly exemplify the spirit of creativity and innovation. We naturally gravitate toward works that infuse a sense of play into public life, promoting community, wonder, fun, or aesthetic beauty.

Beyond rewarding pioneering endeavors with recognition and financial support, the Fusion Fund serves as a kind of outreach program for our ilk, meant to seek out and identify like-minded artists and producers. The Fund is specifically designed to promote dialogue across disciplines, bringing together seemingly disparate organizations for the purposes of collaboration, transmutation, and genetic diversification.

To apply for the Fusion Fund or to nominate a project, follow this simple procedure:

• Study this website to gain a deeper understanding of the Nonchalance sensibility.
• Provide a letter of introduction, explaining how the nominated project meets the above stated criteria.
• Provide a hyperlink to documentation of the work in question (do not send attachments).
• The nominated party must have either 501(c)3 status or a Non-Profit fiscal sponsor through whom the award grant will be distributed.
• Send these requirements in an e-mail to fusion at nonchalance dot com.

All Fusion Fund awards will be announced and distributed in the final quarter of the year. We look forward to hearing from you.
