In 2002 Nonchalance teamed up with local graffiti artists to create "The Bay Area Aerosol Heritage Society",
a grassroots effort to preserve and historically document the "Writing" movement in the Bay Area and beyond.
The first project was a digital slideshow entitled "The Legendary Eightees", which presented over 200 lost masterpieces
from the golden era of local aerosol artwork. With an original hip hop score, this presentation was projected on to the
walls of landmark buildings around Oakland and San Francisco. The results were crowds of heads both new and old, coming together
to view and celebrate some great pieces, many of which had not been seen publicly in over twenty years.
It was thrilling to finally see these works back up on the wall where they belong.
